Torre Colonial – an iconic building located at Plaça d'Europa in the L'Hospitalet de Llobregat district on the outskirts of Barcelona – plays a key part in the urban development of Plaça d'Europa, which has grown into a business and commercial hub.

At 21 storeys, Torre Colonial is not only one of the tallest buildings in the area, but also stands out for its modern design. Its contemporary architecture and strategic location make it a key fixture on the Barcelona skyline. The building was designed by GCA Architects, a prestigious firm that specifically aimed to create a new and distinctive visual reference.

Torre Colonial defies the stereotypes associated with tall buildings, featuring four offset cubes generating volumetric dynamism and a series of terraces that connect with the outside world and provide views over the city. The use of low-power and low-maintenance technologies was prioritised throughout the project, ultimately leading to LEED Gold certification.

AGC Stopray Vision 40/21 T, a high-performance magnetron glass featuring excellent selectivity, was used in the structure’s spectacular fully glazed curtain wall facade.
